Examples of Chromosome fragmentation induced by drug treatment. Two images from the same microscopic view represent different types of chromosome fragmentation following drug treatment. The upper image shows a large number of fragments coexisting with abnormal chromosomes. The lower image shows that extensive chromosome fragmentation has occurred with only a few identifiable fragments. These various images may represent different stages of chromosome fragmentation.
